This position is contingent on the successful application and implementation of the Auto Technology program for the 2026-2027 academic year.

 

POSITION PURPOSE: The Auto Technology (Mechanics) Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on instruction in automotive technology to students in a classroom and shop environment. This role involves developing and implementing a curriculum that aligns with current industry standards and certification requirements, including ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) competencies. The instructor must ensure a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment while fostering student engagement, professionalism, and workplace readiness.

 

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt; Part-Time

 

REPORTS TO: High School Principal

 

EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of Board policy GCN: Evaluation of Professional Staff.
